FAQs for
providers

AposTherapy® is an innovative, personalised, drug-free and non-surgical treatment for knee , hip and lower back pain, which has been clinically proven to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Developed by doctors from the fields of orthopaedics and sports medicine, AposTherapy® is based on established scientific principles of biomechanics and neuromuscular control. The therapy utilises an individually adjusted unique biomechanical footworn device and is performed as part of a patient’s day to day activities. AposTherapy® is able to redistribute the forces that contribute to the pain in our joints, whilst simultaneously re-educating the brain and muscles to work more efficiently again, thereby creating healthier walking patterns and improved function. To date, AposTherapy® has helped over 70,000 people in the UK, US, Israel and Singapore.

The AposTherapy® Certified Providers Programme is a network of selected private physiotherapy and multidisciplinary practices that have qualified to deliver AposTherapy®. The Certified Providers can offer AposTherapy® to their customers suffering from knee, back, hip and ankle conditions as an integrated part of their offerings, thus enhancing patient outcomes, retention and satisfaction as well as helping to differentiate their practice.
Any private physiotherapy and orthopaedic practices that are looking to add an effective, innovative and high-end service to the current portfolio of treatments offered by their clinic.

To enquire, please email enquiries@apostherapy.co.uk.  Our representative will contact you to set up an initial discussion where both sides can assess the feasibility of potential partnership. Upon reaching a mutual agreement a memorandum of understanding is signed and the partner undergoes a theory training course. This is followed by a period of on site training delivered by our own dedicated trainers. In the meantime, full IT and operational support will ensure you have the equipment in place to begin delivering the treatment in your clinic. Upon completing the training course, the provider can offer AposTherapy® as part of its treatment portfolio to existing and new customers – and enjoy all the benefits of this innovative and effective treatment. Apos’s head office actively supports the provider through this process by assigning dedicated staff and providing clinical, scientific, logistical and marketing resources.

The training and certification process includes both a home study module as well as attendance of theoretical and practical modules. The courses are performed in small groups and are scheduled at least a month in advance. The course develops the fundamental knowledge on the treatment methodology and provides therapists with first hand experience in treating patients suffering with musculo-skeletal disorders utilising AposTherapy®. The training process following the theory course consists of clinical-site practical training for the first set number of patients. After this, trained clinicians are qualified to treat knee, low back and hip conditions with AposTherapy®.
